Marlborough – Mr. Christopher E. McKenna, of Marlborough, died Monday, August 15, 2022 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 60. Chris was born in Boston on December 5, 1961, the son of the late Edward L. and Evelyn M. (Codyer) McKenna. He lived in Marlborough and after graduating from high school he joined the United States Marine Corps where he served on active duty for seven years. He worked for several years as a correctional officer and food service supervisor for the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Los Angeles, California. Following his retirement Chris returned home to Marlborough. He leaves his sisters, Anne Roberston (Scott) of Sanford, Maine and Cynthia McKenna of Leominster and several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends including Earle and Sarah Enesi and family of Carson, California. Family and friends will honor and remember Chris's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, August 29th from 4 to 7 p.m. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning in Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect Street, Marlborough. Burial will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Our Lord Jesus Christ brought U home 2 Heaven .Thanks 4 always being there 4 me during our shifts in a Los Angeles Federal Prison . Our talks in da parking lot after work help me decompress.
