Christopher Eric Montoya, known affectionately as Chris, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him. He was born on Saturday, July 31, 1976, in his beloved hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Chris led a fulfilling life as a carpenter and a welder. His dedication and passion for craftsmanship were evident in every project he undertook. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence set him apart in his profession.
Outside of work, Chris had a vibrant personality and an adventurous spirit. An avid sports fan, he found great joy in watching football, basketball, and his favorite wrestling matches. As an adult, he became passionate about softball and dedicated himself to coaching his children's baseball teams. Through his guidance and support, Chris not only imparted valuable skills but also instilled the love of the game in young hearts.
Beyond his professional achievements and hobbies, Chris was a loving husband to his cherished wife Dannette. Their bond was built on a foundation of love, trust, and unwavering support. Together they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and countless beautiful memories.
Chris was the beloved son of Charles Montoya and Catherine Sensi. He shared strong bonds with his brothers, Anthony, and Thomas Montoya. Their brotherhood was characterized by unconditional love that only siblings can truly understand.
He leaves behind an adoring family who will forever cherish the memories they made with him. Survived by his children Alexandria Montoya, Dylan Montoya, Devon Herman, and Preston Herman.
In times of sorrow and loss like this, it is important to remember the joy Christopher brought into our lives. Christopher Eric Montoya's spirit will continue to live on, inspiring all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024; 11:00 a.m., at FRENCH – Westside, 9300 Golf Course Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114.
