Christopher Allan Montplaisir, known affectionately as Chris, passed away on August 31, 2024, at the age of 40, in West Paris, Maine. Born on August 23, 1984, in Great Lakes, Illinois. Chris grew up to be a man deeply rooted in his faith and family, touching many with his vibrant personality and resilience.

Chris graduated from John Stark Regional High School in Weare, New Hampshire. He built a successful career as the Lead Estimator at Trash Can Willy's Junk Removal in Hooksett, NH. His work was not just a job but a testament to his dedication and hard work, qualities that defined all areas of his life.

A beacon of strength, Chris bravely overcame personal challenges with addiction, achieving a sober life that he was immensely proud of. His journey was an inspiration to many, proving that with faith and support, change is possible. He found solace and community at One Church in Manchester, NH, where he was a regular attendee and volunteer.

Chris's life was full of joy and passion. He loved music, dancing, singing along to K-Love Radio, and cooking-activities that he often shared with his loved ones. His magnetic sense of humor and his ability to light up any room were his hallmark.

He leaves behind his mother, Mary Ellen Montplaisir, and step-father, Marc Montplaisir; brothers Marc Jr., Billy, and Jeremy; half-siblings Kelly, Jimmie, and Jesse; his fiancée, Melissa Alheim and step-daughter, Hailee LaFlamme; grandparents Nancy & Ron Staudinger; Uncle's Steven and Andrew; niece Aiva; nephews Wyatt & Chance; and many cousins. Chris was predeceased by his birth father, Jimmie Campbell, and his great grandparents.

A celebration of Chris's life will be held on Saturday, September 7th, 2024, at 12:00 noon at One Church, 1308 Wellington Road, Manchester, NH, with a lunch to follow. His life, marked by perseverance, love, and laughter, will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.

Very sad I can not attend Chris celebration of life today. I am very honored to have known Chris. He is so special to so many. I will never forget all of the challenges he overcame to get where he was. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his loved ones through this difficult time. May he rest in piece and keep on dancing ...every time a Jason Derulo song comes on I see Chris dancing his heart out...dude could dance...my last chat with him was me reaching out to let him know i saw him on the cover of the spectrum with the trash can willy's crew...he couldn't believe i noticed that. I told him I am so proud of him and happy to see him doing so well for himself. I know how hard he worked to get where he was he loved and was so proud of his family ...rest easy my buddy.

Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to be around Chris as much as some of you. However, I did see the video on FB from the Bday party given to him the weekend of August 23rd by his mom Maryellen. From what I saw he looked so very happy and surprised to see family and friends old and new! I would like to think this is a loving memory he carried with him throughout that whole week before he was called up. I hope all of you that attended will remember and cherish that very special moment in time and keep it and Chris close to your heart always.

I was so sorry to hear this about Chris. I cannot remember a time that he was not standing just inside the auditorium before service welcoming people in, or seeing him sitting with his family during church. It is going to be so odd to walk into church and not see him there. A terrible loss to his friends and family, but what a gain for Heaven. He will be missed. I will continue to pray for peace and comfort for his family, friends, and church family.
