Christopher "Chris" Ronan

Chris passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011 in Austin, Texas at the young age of 22. He was born in Stoneham, Massachusetts and felt fortunate to call Austin home since he was four years old. Chris attended Westlake High School. Chris had a good heart and a beautiful smile. Chris loved to ride his bike from the time he was a toddler zooming around the house to the day he died. He was a member of the Austin riding community and could often be seen making his way around town on his BMX. Chris is survived by his father, Mike Ronan; mother and step-father, Stacy Lake and Matt Meyer; step-sisters, Emma Meyer and Christy Meyer-Lichtfield; sisters, Elizabeth Ronan, Kaitrin Ronan, and Ellyana Ronan; his grandparents, Ralph and Donna Lake, Stevie Lake and Sally Finan, and Roberta Atkins; his great-grandmother, Mary Lake; uncles, John Lake, Pat and Kevin Ronan; aunts, Cary and Sasha Ronan, Kathleen Lastine; and many cousins and friends. Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel, 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas. Memorial contributions may be made to austinyellowbike.org
