Christopher Sanchez Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 27, 2025.
Father, brother, son, & grandfather Christopher Lee Sanchez passed away in Dallas, Texas on Friday, July 25, 2025. He was born in Dallas, Texas on July 5, 1981 to Anna Marie Sanchez & Jerry Lee Wiggins.

Christopher was an exceptionally hard worker, known for his skill and technical precision in painting and remodeling. He approached every project with integrity and care, earning a reputation for quality craftsmanship. His work lives on in countless homes, stores, and restaurants across Texas and Florida.

Affectionately known as "Strech" to many, Christopher attended Warren Travis White High School, where he was often the class clown, and always willing to do anything for a laugh. He had a lifelong love of magic, both watching it and performing tricks that fascinated him.

Music was a constant presence in Christopher's life. He was drawn to artists with meaningful lyrics and themes of perseverance, from DMX and Pimp C to Joyner Lucas. His admiration for Michael Jackson began in childhood, and his performances of "Smooth Criminal" in the living room are cherished family memories. As an adult, he found deep personal resonance in the music of Eminem, whose lyrics of redemption and resilience reflected Christopher's own journey.

Christopher also had a love for film and television. He enjoyed a wide range of favorites, from Oliver & Company, Crash, and Cast Away, to Pee Wee's Big Adventure and King of Queens. But CSI: Crime Scene Investigation was his favorite; he especially loved discussing the science behind the show.

A proud Texan through and through, Christopher held a deep love for his hometown of Dallas, where he lived his entire life. Baseball had a special place in his heart. He was a lifelong Texas Rangers fan, and nothing made him happier than catching a game in person or sporting his Rangers hat and shirt.

Above all else, Christopher was a devoted father. His greatest pride and joy were his four children. He spoke of them often and with immense love-his children were his guiding light. Through all of life's ebbs and flows, he did everything he could to be the best father he could be.

Christopher was a caring father, a protective brother, a loving son, and a loyal friend. He was generous, funny, helpful, and never judgmental. He loved fiercely-and was deeply loved in return. He will be profoundly missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

Christopher was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Marie Sanchez, & grandfather Delfino Lopez Sanchez. Survivors are son Isaiah Xavier Sanchez; daughters Destany Faith Sanchez, Caylee Jade Sanchez, and Mia Amor Sanchez; grandchildren Grayson Isaiah and Selah May Sanchez; sisters Christina Marie Rosemann (Matthew), Victoria Marie Weathers (Clint), and Tiffany Marie Weatherly (Cris); nieces, extended family members and beloved friends.

Chris was a great brother-in-law. He was always willing to offer help, advice or wisdom if Victoria or I ever needed it.

We shared a love of music. Not exactly the same types of music, but he and I were able to have insightful conversations about what we loved about our respective styles. I am happy to have known him for the time that I did.

My heart goes out to the rest of the family. He is greatly missed.

Since I heard the news, I´ve been going through all the memories I have in my head. Chris and I share a daughter but we shared a lot of good times as well. We bonded over our love for Michael Jackson and loved the thrill or searching for vintage/collectibles toys.

Chris loved showing me his favorite movies and shows. We owned almost every season of CSI on dvd. There are some things that I will never be able to see and not think of him like Eminem, Ninja Turtles, Fast and Furious. Every year for Christmas we watched Jingle All The Way and I can still hear his impression of Arnold Schwarzenegger saying, "PUT THAT COOKIE DOWN".

He lives on in our daughter and I am forever grateful that I met him because he gave me my biggest blessing, Mia Amor Sanchez.

Bubby I will miss you so much. You were always the cool older brother who I could look up to. You always knew how to make everyone laugh and had a natural way of making everyone around you love you. You were a good brother but a even better father and uncle. All of the girls will miss you so much and they are so filled with memories of you. There are very few places across Dallas, Garland and Mesquite we can visit with out bringing up a story or memory of being with you. The only thought that brings us peace is knowing you are at rest in heaven with Mom. We will continue to talk about you all the time and we will never forget you.

I was lucky to have known Strech for 24 years, and in that time he became more than just a friend or even best friend-he was family. He had a way of making people laugh, of showing up when you needed him, and of being a loyal presence through all of life´s ups and downs. One of my favorite parts of our friendship was our shared love for Eminem-he always kept me up to date on his latest music, and it gave us countless conversations and laughs over the years. I never knew anyone who could memorize, recite and break down lyrics like Strech could. I´ll always cherish the memories, the laughter, and the friendship we shared. Strech, you will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Bubby, I miss you so much.

I've lost a piece of my heart, and a chunk of my soul. I keep wanting to send you pictures, show you a funny video, or talk to you about a song...and you're not there.

I'm so grateful I got to talk to you and tell you that I love you the night before you left us, but I wish I could talk to you just one more time. You often told me that I was the only person on the planet who truly understood you. You said that you were always "Team Tina." I feel so lost without you on my team.

I hope you're with Mom, talking and laughing about your favorite shows again. I miss you both so much, it hurts. I know you're at peace now. I love you, and you will always be my big Bubby.
