Christopher Smoak Obituary
Chris was born July 13, 1990, in Wichita Falls, TX. He graduated from Iowa Park High School in 2008 and joined the United States Army in 2010. Chris spent one tour as a part of the 2nd Infantry Division, 4th Stryker Brigade combat team, 2-12 Field Artillery "Viking Task Force". In 2015, Chris received an honorable discharge from the Army. Chris spent the last 2 years of his life living in Wichita Falls coaching and umpiring young athletes. Chris was a loving father and enjoyed playing baseball, softball, and golf.
Chris is preceded in death by his grandparents Richard and Helen Gilliam. He is survived by his son, Grayson Smoak; his parents, Daina Smoak and Richele Jones; his brother Richard Smoak; and his sisters Brooke Rangel and BreAnna Smoak. He is also survived by niece Leighton Smoak, nephew Rhyder Rangel, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the North Texas Veterans Relief Fund.
