I was so sad to hear this about Sully. He and I became very close over the past couple of years even after almost 10 years of not speaking much since our Microsoft days just given life, other jobs etc.

He had the warmest heart, and infectious smile, and honestly loved his family more than anything.

He also kept his friends and network in such high regard.

I will miss him.

Go with god brother.

My heart breaks for you, Sarah, and your family. Chris was one of the kindest gentlemen I have ever had the fortune to know. Every memory of Chris is of his smiling face and gentle humor. Remembering his love of his family and his joy in welcoming guests to his home - especially showing off his enormous BBQ - brings a smile to my face. It has been many years since we shared a glass of wine but my memories of those years in Atlanta have not dimmed and I cherish those times. I will keep all of you in my prayers and know that your unwavering faith will sustain you. With deepest sympathy, Andrea Bailey Powers

Chris and Sarah were the power couple in high school and it appears so in life, as well. Chris was admired, beloved and respected...even then, he impressed everyone with his maturity and ability to lead. I have followed his success through Sarah´s FB posts. No surprise to me or anyone who knew "Mr Commodore" and his amazing soulmate, Sarah. I have lost both parents over the years and some dear friends. If I can humbly offer anything at all to ease this tragic loss, it would be to consider these thoughts. The only way to the other side is through. Allow yourself to feel every emotion as it approaches. Spend as much time in the healing presence of God as you can. Know that because of your time with this person, you are forever changed, imparted with love and wisdom. Rejoice in the glory of heaven and remember you will meet him there and until then, you will have a guardian. You will feel him in the wind and sense him in sacred moments. His spirit lives on.

I will forever remember Chris's remarkable smile and the enjoyable discussions we frequently shared regarding work, life, and faith. He was a cherished husband and father, and he will always hold a special place in my heart and thoughts as a dear friend. Chris, what a rock and true gentleman. My heart and prayers go out to all of you during this most unexpected and difficult time. Just know the Duncans treasure our time and memories living across the street from you and figuring out how to raise small children. I am here for all of you, Sarah, Jack, Henry, Cecily, and Gabriella any time you need me. Much love, Hadley

I remember having a lot of fun with the Sullivans growing up. I loved swinging on their swing in the front of the house, jumping on the trampoline with my cousins, as well as going to The Varsity to eat hot dogs. In all those fun activities, I always remember Uncle Chris smiling. Uncle Chris always had a warm presence and made me feel welcome.

I'm grateful to have wonderful memories of Uncle Chris. I pray for comfort and strength over the Sullivan family. Please let me know how I can be a blessing to you.

Chris had a zest for life that was unmistakable. I worked with Chris for many years at Microsoft. We first met at a Microsoft Industry event in Florida. His enthusiasm for Microsoft was infectious and his dedication to his teammates was indelible. That spirit will live on forever. He was truly one-of-a-kind.

May Sully rest in peace and God bless Sarah and the children.

A friend called me today and reminded me that Chris was "Mr. Commodore" of our high school. They gave that recognition to him due his complete representation of all that was good at our school. That was Chris. He was an exceptional man and I´m so glad he was married to my sister. So many people continue to be inspired by him. He will be dearly missed.

When Sarah and Chris fell in love in high school I was never concerned that their love for each other might harm either of their futures. In fact, their relationship enhanced their teenaged success.

The were both high achievers and they were also each other´s best cheerleaders.

And this continued throughout their lives together. Years ago, when
Sarah was working on an important agenda to change a broken system and someone said it absolutely could not be done. Chris replied "Have you met my wife?"

I remember Chris being "on the field" at every sporting event in which the kids were involved.

I remember Chris welcoming every person who entered their home.

I especially remember every Christmas when either Jack, Henry, Cecily or Gabrielle (or all four of them) participated in the Christmas Eve church service. And afterward, driving all of us all over the place to see the Christmas lights, and knowing that he and Sarah would be up most of the night preparing a wonderful Christmas morning for all of us.

Sarah´s dad and I always thought of Chris as our fifth child.

Sully was a great friend, brother and dedicated family man and absolutely cherished Sarah and his kids. We had great times together at Microsoft and always making each other laugh. God Bless the Sullivan family. Here´s us together at one of many healthcare conferences over the years - with his signature big smile. Rest in Heaven, Sully.
