Christopher Turk Obituary
Chris was preceded in death by his wife the late Yvonne and is the beloved father of Elizabeth (David) Babich, Sarah (Todd) Guajardo and Chris Turk II. He is Papa-Dad to Benjamin and baby Guajardo. He is also survived by his brothers Terry (Cheryl) Turk and Larry (Vittoria) Turk. He will be missed by his many friends.
Visitation for Chris will be on Wednesday August 1, 2012 from 1-8 pm and his funeral service will be Thursday August 2, 2012 at 11 am at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 25450 Plymouth Road in Redford, Michigan 48239. The funeral home is located on the north side of Plymouth Road, between Beech Daly and Telegraph Roads.
Chris will be laid to rest with Yvonne at Grand Lawn Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, his family asks that memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.

Sarah, Elizabeth and Chris.... One can see by the beautiful children Dad raised how wonderful he was in his position as "Father". You are all a blessing to all that come in contact with you. Dad,
I never doubted how much you were loved by so many, but it was amazing to see how much of an impact you had on people. You have touched so many lives in so many ways. Dad I miss you so much and I know that you have already started watching over me and are making sure that I am being careful and not letting anything happen to us. Give Mom a hug from me. I will keep Elizabeth and Chrissy close and make sure that they are being careful too. Thank you for giving me an amazing brother and sister that are also my best friends. I will never stop needing you and will always love you.

I wish I could offer words to provide some comfort or relief for this tragic loss. His children should be comforted knowing that as a father, Chris was immensely proud of each of you and always spoke fondly of you whenever we got together.
I've known Chris as a friend for most of my life and, aside from his great sense of humor, regard him as one of the most kind and open handed people I've ever met. He simply did more for everyone he met than they could ever do in return---so generous with his time and great talent.
When starting my business,Chris was there to provide technical support, practical recommendations and personal introductions to ensure my success in the industry. I'm forever in his debt.
He will indeed be missed.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the whole Turk family. I worked with Chris for a time at DuPont in Troy. Chris was a kind, sensitive and devoted family man. RIP Chris. Be proud of your legacy.

I have many fond memories of time spent with the Turk family. Mr. Turk was a great father. He was such an easy going guy, with a sense of humor that would often catch you by surprise.
Sometimes life seems cruel, but as I told Elizabeth through email, I do find comfort, as I'm sure Elizabeth, Sarah, and Chris do, in knowing their dad is finally reunited with thier mother again. Love to you all.

Elizabeth, Sarah, and Chris, I am so sorry to learn about your father. Mark told me the news last night and I am still in shock. I wish I could be back home at this time of sorrow and share my words with you personally. He was a very influential man to me. Part of the reason I am the man I am today is because of him. Growing up next door to him was unbelievable. I will surely miss him, especially on my visits home. He always took the time to stop me and talk to me to make sure I was doing ok. I will miss the chats.

It has taken a couple of days to write this... Chris was one of the best people I have ever known. He was so kind, generous, and yes funny as hell (oops!) Chris was an amazing father, husband and friend. It is impossible to write one story about him there are just too many. Chris taught all of us the meaning of unconditional love. As sad as it is for all of those to live without that amazing man it gives joy to know he is once again with the love of his life, Yvonne and they are dancing, and laughing together again. I'm at a loss for words. I just saw Chris recently at his brother Larry's house. He looked happy as I've ever seen him. I've been Larry's neighbor for almost 14 years. Chris always struck me as just as talented and creative as Larry and his son Jeff. My deepest condolences to the entire Turk family. Chris will be missed.
Dad, thank you for the trip to Colon, MI for the Magic Festival last year. We loved it.
