Christopher TURKO

My brother, Brian Nykyforak spoke of your dad with much respect and love. He was so sad when he passed on. Who would have known that Brian would join him in heaven within the year. It gives me much comfort to know that both of them are probably having a few laughs and possibly a beer or two. I hope that the pain of losing your dad one year ago today has subsided somewhat and that the wonderful and special memories sustain you forever.

I worked with Chris Turko on many oilsands projects dating back to the 1990's and we built many large structures together. Unfortunately,I have been largely out of touch with him for the last year and did not hear of his passing until recently. I am sorry to have missed meeting Chris again and sorry to have missed the memorial service. Chris was a great guy to work with and always had a great sense of humour. I read his "Job Description for a Superintendent" and almost fell off my chair laughing. What a hilarious and truthful example of his outlook on work and life. I had to copy this for future reference. I am privileged to have known and worked with Chris and will always rememember him. Rest in peace.

So sorry to hear about Chris..He was our Bestman for our wedding 40 yrs ago and he truly was a best man. He will lovingly be missed by Andy & myself. We pray for strength at this time for the family.
