I'm so sorry for you Sandy and Bernie. Nobody bothered to tell me. I was the manager of Chrystil's caregivers from 2008-2010. I can't describe here what a wonderful, sparkly girl she was, how she made us laugh and always brightened the room she entered. We shared so many fun moments, and we shared some solemn ones too. Chrystil loved everything Michael Jackson and the day he died, she was so sad. We both stared at the TV in disbelief and I cried with her. Maybe she will finally get to meet him and be able to dance. She truly was an angel down on earth. With all the challenges she had, she never complained and didn't know the meaning of self pity. She lived every moment to the fullest.
Forever in my heart...

Chrystil,
I think I am still in shock that you are gone. You brought joy to more lives then you even realize. You never complained and always had the brightest smile on your face. I will forever miss your laugh and will always miss everything about you. Please watch over your family as you are so dearly missed and losing a child is something that I have never experienced but it is the most heart wrenching loss to experience. Your family (our family) will keep your memory alive for as long as we are on this earth. Save a place for me so we can sit back, laugh and listen to Michael Jackson like we did in our younger days.
I love you, "my lil firecracker ".....my Lil sister.

As I told Sandy when I saw her at the hospital while I was at work, Chrystil was the only baby that I was ever comfortable holding. She was such a sweetheart, I remember, that I didn't want to let go of her. When we were boys growing up she was everyone's kid sister. And we all adored her because she never failed to put a smile on our faces.

Mr. & Mrs. Dougherty, please accept our most heartfelt & deepest condolences from my wife, Liana & I on dear Chrystil's passing. I've been honored to accommodate her by driving the elevator for her @ Heinz Field for numerous years, laughing & joking with her & being put in my place (humorously) with her quick wit. Smile. Heaven just became a bit nicer with her presence & look I forward to seeing her again.
May God bless you & family with rest, peace & strength during this time, daily & especially, each holiday season. She's truly missed, already & will be forever.

My deepest condolences are going out to Chrystal's family at this difficult time. Chrystil was a great girl, she knew how to light up a room with her infectious laugh and smile. I've known her for many years because of going to the Spina Bifida Camp.Rest In Peace Chrystil,
