Chun-Nei Cheung, 95, died Saturday the 13th of May at Memorial Hermann Northeast surrounded by her loved ones.
Born in 1922 in Pudong, Shanghai, Chun-Nei spent most of her life in Hong Kong before immigrating to New York. She later moved to Houston where she would spend the rest of her life under the care of her youngest daughter Mary and son-in-law, Wah.
Chun-Nei was a devout Catholic and loving mother. Family and prayer meant everything to her. She was proud of her family and loved to smile. She imparted her wisdom and experiences throughout her fruitful life to her grandchildren and would tell them to always trust in God. Chun-Nei was feisty but had a great sense of humor. She was the "cute little grandma" on the block.
Chun-Nei is survived by her husband Lau-Kun Yim, all of her seven children, 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will be gathered at Winford Funeral Home, 8514 Tybor Drive in Houston, TX on Thursday, 18th of May for visitation at 6-8 p.m.
