Claire Mary Goodwin

Claire Mary Goodwin age 48 formerly of Wakefield Ma. passed away in her sleep at her residence in Winchester Ma. October 20th. Claire was the loving mother of two children: George Jr. of Saugus and Andrea (Ali) Goodwin of Sarasota, Fl. She was the daughter of and is survived by Elizabeth and Joseph D'Arcangelo, long time residents of Wakefield Ma., her brother Joseph D'Arcangelo and wife Julie in Pelham NH, her twin sister Jane D'Arcangelo of New Bedford Ma., and brother Christopher D'Arcangelo and wife Megan in Apex, NC. and Children George Jr. and Andrea (Ali) Goodwin, along with many nieces and nephews. Claire was raised in Wakefield and Graduated Wakefield High class of 1992 and attended North Shore Community College. She married lived and raised her two children in Saugus later moving to Sarasota, Fl. with the family. Claire was a devoted loving Mom to her family brothers and sister. While in Saugus she worked at Mellon Finance and other local banks to support her family. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, shopping, playing scrabble with the children, and going to the Beach. Later in life Claire did volunteer work at shelters to try and make a difference and help the less fortunate. She also enjoyed knitting scarves for the homeless. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday, Nov 2 at 11am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday, Nov 1 from 4-7pm. Interment, Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
