CLAIRE HANDELSMAN Obituary
Age 92, of Churchill, died at her home on Monday, August 5, 2013, surrounded by her loving and caring family. Beloved wife for 52 years to the late Dr. Oliver Handelsman. Claire is survived by her sons, George (Joan), Gordon (Tasi), and Malcolm (Linda); five grandchildren and four Golden Retrievers. Burial will be private at Temple Sinai Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dr. Oliver Handelsman Fund, c/o Heritage Community Initiatives, 820 Braddock Ave., Braddock, PA 15104. Please add or view tributes at:

Dear Dr. Gordon Handelsman and family. Both your father and mother were the greatest people and were loved very much. My mother and I would buy things for them for their birthdays and visit with them. We always enjoyed their company and my family had your father as our doctor. He use to call me "Charlie the Tuna." I loved the kidding. It was a great loss when your father passed and it is even a greater loss that your mother passed. My mother and I would call her or she would call us, and when my mother passed, your mother was like another mother to me. She worried about me and I was worried about her. My brother and I will never forget your parents. They will always be in our prayers and in our hearts along with our parents.
