Claire Mullen Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Nov. 10 to Nov. 11, 2018.
June 11, 1920 - November 4, 2018 Claire Mullen passed away at 98 years of age of natural causes. She married the love of her life Bernie Mullen when she was 21 years old and enjoyed 51 years together until his passing. She is survived by her three children, Linda, Normie and Bruce, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was very active in B'nai B'rith, Shriners, and other philanthropic activities especially those involving children. Claire lived alone in her condo; cooked her own meals; drove her car to the market and beauty shop; played mahjong once a week and pan once a week until the age of 97 when she moved in with one of her daughters. At that point, until the last couple of weeks, she played cards every day with her family and never missed a beauty shop appointment. She was truly a woman of valor. Services to be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018, 2:00pm at Mount Sinai Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Compassus Hospice or Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Linda and Normie: My sincere condolences on Claire's passing. Claire and Bernie were wonderful to my parents (both deceased) when they lived in California. I will never forget your families.

May the four winds take her home.

Hope all is well!
