Clara 'Dolly' Pugliese, 88, formerly of 1215 West First St. and Gateway Towers, died Thursday, Jan. 2, while at Chris Jensen Health & Rehabilitation. Dolly was born Jan. 27, 1914, in Hibbing, to Frank and Carmella Rich. She worked at Hotel Duluth, and retired from F.W. Woolworth's downtown store after 39 years of service. Dolly was a longtime member of St. Peters Catholic Church. She was a lifetime member of the West Duluth Chaper 580, Women of the Moose. Dolly was very active in all Moose activities, serving in many offices and attaining the College of Regents. Dolly's family was the center of her life; she enjoyed sharing time with her friends. She was a very outgoing person, usually the life of the party. Dolly was preceded in death by two infant children; and sisters Mary, Minnie 'Mae', Rose, and Helen, Elizabeth, and Louisa. She is survived by son Robert A. 'Bob' (Linda) of Duluth; daughter Carmella Ann (Herbert 'Masa') Urasaki of Glendale, Calif.; grandchildren Dawn (Robert) Soderberg of Hudson, Wis., Robert G., and Scott Pugliese of Duluth; step-grandson Carl Urasaki; great-grandchildren Skylar and Madelyn, Matthew and Alex; and many other relatives and friends. VISITATION:Noon until the 1 p.m. service Wednesday, January 8, in Hope United Methodist Church, 301 W. St. Marie St, Duluth. Burial at Calvary Cemetery.
