Clara STARK Obituary

Published by Calgary Herald from Dec. 26 to Dec. 28, 2011.
STARK, Clara Jean (nee: Kuhnke)
January 8, 1928 - December 22, 2011
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Clara Jean Stark, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Clara was born in Ferintosh, Alberta and in 1948 she married Reverend Fred Stark and they enjoyed 57 years of marriage together and the birth of two children. Pastor Stark's profession took them to Tomahawk, Trochu and, in 1955, to Calgary. Clara enjoyed a 10 year career at The Bay and her cheerful personality led her to be the leading Estee Lauder salesperson for all of Canada. She later worked as a dental receptionist for Dr. Staniloff for 10 years. She readily accepted the duties that come with being a pastor's wife and was very devoted to her Lord and Savior. Clara was predeceased by her husband, Reverend Fred Stark in 2006. Also by her parents William and Charlotte Kuhnke and her brothers Clarence and Arnold, and sister Helen (Maier). Clara is survived by her two children, Linda Boehm (Helmut) and Reginald (Kathleen) and by her grandchildren, Kirsten Davenport (Gregg), Curtis Boehm (Andrea) and Jeremy Boehm (Lauren) and her great-grandchildren Kara, Ilse, Jonas and Anastasiya. Funeral Services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 3610 Sarcee Road S.W. on Thursday, December 29 at 1:00 p.m., Pastor Mark Ruf officiating. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery. Forward condolences through www.hffs.com . The family wishes to thank the staff of Unit 103, Foothills Hospital and the staff and volunteers of Chinook Hospice.

Linda and Reggie and families;

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief of your dear mother, Clara Stark. Both your parents played a big part of our spiritual upbringing, their joy and fellowship of their congregational friends. Their happy visits and genuine smiles will always be remembered . We were so touched Linda, by having the opportunity to talk with you on Friday Dec.30 . God has his special moments to bring people together,and that was one of those moments. You and your family should know that your parents both had a special gift for people. May God truly bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Love to you all.

Reg and Linda and families
Please accept our sincere condolences at this time. As you know we knew your Mom very well. We happened to be in Calgary at Jennifer's and read the paper yesterday.
We will not be able to attend the service for your Mom, but we remember all the good memories we have of your Mom as well as your Dad. May God's love be with you at this time

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I remember your mother and father very well while attending St. Matthews and going to confirmation classes every Monday night. They were both wonderful people.
