Clarence Belland

BELLAND, Clarence J. On Saturday, June 27, 2009, Clarence J. Belland of Whitecourt passed away peacefully at the age of 83 years. Clarence will never be forgotten and will always be loved by Elaine, his wife and soul-mate for 48 years; his children, Leonard (Brenda) of Calgary, Robert of Fort Saskatchewan, Murray, Lori (Reg) Henderson and Kelly (Tracy Topilka), all of Whitecourt and David (Rachel) of High Level; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Bernard, Leon, John, Claude, Roland, Joe, Alice, Madeline, Irene, Doris and George; also numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, Frank and Georginna; and brothers and sisters, Neil, Yvonne, Florence, Marie, Paul and Ernest. Clarence was well known in the oil patch throughout northern Alberta and BC. He was the "Candy Man" for those who were special to him. His jokes were shared with "all". He enjoyed hunting and a good card game of "Guts". Clarence was a survivor despite his many health challenges these past years. Most importantly he loved and was loved. Rest in Peace Clarence. A Gathering of Family and Friends to Celebrate Clarence's Life will be held Thursday, July 2 at 2:00 p.m. at Whitecourt Seniors Circle, Whitecourt, AB. Cremation has taken place.
