Vickie A. Yurkovic

Vickie A. Yurkovic, 79, of Dickson City, died Friday morning at Community Medical Center, Scranton. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Albert Yurkovic.

Born in Dickson City, daughter of the late Alexander and Anna Matylewicz Bobrowski, she was a member of St. Mary's Visitation Church, Dickson City. She was a graduate of Dickson City High School and before retirement, was employed as a seamstress for Dickson City Garment. She also owned and operated Vickie's Hat and Dress Shop, Dickson City.

Also surviving are a son, Michael Yurkovic and wife, Mary Jo, Dickson City; a daughter, Susan Yurkovic, Santa Fe, N.M.; four grandchildren, Michael Yurkovic Jr. and wife, Samantha, Dickson City; Todd Yurkovic and wife, Danielle, Blakely; Ashley Yurkovic, Dickson City, and fiancé, James Gouldsbury; and Chad Yurkovic, Dickson City; four great-grandchildren, Julia, Stephen, Alivia and Emma; two sisters, Mary Grembacki, Danville; and Joan Roshak, New Brunswick, N.J.; nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Stanley, Charles, William and Edward Bobrowski; and four sisters, Delores Bartkovsky, Anna Bobrowski, Caroline Stachacz and Pearl Darlak.

The funeral will be Monday at 9 a.m. from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in St. Mary's Visitation Church. Entombment, St. Mary's Mausoleum.
