Clarence Eugene Meaux Clarence Eugene Meaux, 48, of Austin, Texas and long time resident of Port Arthur, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was born August 19, 1960 to Sidney and Betty Jane Meaux. He had been a resident of Austin for the last 10 years. He worked for the Port Arthur News for a number of years then worked for the Waco Tribune-Harold. Visitation will be Sunday, March 15, 2009 noon until 1:00 pm with a Memorial Service to begin at 1:00PM with Reverend Bennie Patillo officiating at Broussard's in Nederland. Eugene was preceded in death by his mother, brother Victor Meaux and nephew David Meaux. Eugene is survived by his father; daughter, Jessica Howell of Waco; brothers, Rick Maxwell of Port Neches, Chris Meaux of Sour Lake, Quincy Meaux of Nederland, Craig Meaux, Sr. of Nederland; sisters D'Lana Halbert of Abilene and Diana Rose Meaux of Port Arthur; one granddaughter and 15 nieces and nephews. I am so sorry to hear that Clint was taken from us... I remember the first date he had with my sister, Diane. I made a spaghetti dinner for them and he just beamed from the love he had for her... then they were married and had their beautiful daughter Jessica, and he was soooo in love with her.. his baby... Jessica, I know you will miss him, and I wanted to send my condolences. I love you.... Renee...
