CLARENCE Elton ROWLAND Jr.

ROWLAND, Clarence E., 82, died Sunday, July 27. As a lifelong Tampa native, he served in the US Navy during The Korean War. He began working with National Airlines as a young man eventually retiring after the merger of National & PanAm Airways. He was an avid baseball and NY Yankees fan noting baseball statistics back to his childhood. The past few years he truly enjoyed his Friday morning café con leche with his croanie friends. Always a practical joker, he was loved by many. He is survived by his beloved wife Josie; daughters Visann Friscia, Mary Lynn Pearson (Chris), Peggy Szajna(Scott) and sons Clarence E. "Chet" Rowland, Jr., & Tony Rowland (and wife). Grandchildren Dana & Matthew Pearson, Erika McDermott (Michael), Beth Shaw, Danny Rowland, and great grandson, Regan McDermott; brother James Rowland (Judy) and sister in law Mary Fiore. God now has you in his keeps, and we will forever have you in our hearts. A visitation will take place Thursday, July 31 11am-12pm at Sunset Memory Gardens, Chapel of Peace, with the service beginning at 12pm. Clarence will be laid to rest following the service.
