While we will miss Uncle Clarence deeply, we are happy to know that he is presently with the Lord. He left us with fond memories of a person that always seemed to have a smile on his face and joy in his heart. I will have to admit that I will never understand his enjoyment of Lawrence Welk, but it was part of his endearing traits. I remember as a young child seeing him helping to build the new church at Northwest Bible College. As a boy, I was wondering how I would ever know as much or be as talented as Uncle Clarence or my Dad. I now know that each of us have God-given gifts and that Uncle Clarence was given many that I continue to aspire to.
Uncle Clarence made a lasting impression on my wife and children in his golden years, with his playful personality and memories of his life on the farm and his trip to Ukraine. I believe he helped inspire Kara and Laura to go on their own journey to "the old country" to experience the culture and get to know our ancestrial heritage.
We thank you, Uncle Clarence, for your love of Christ that showed through to each of us. We look forward to seeing you again at our appointed times, in Heaven as we stroll down the streets of gold.
