SHARP,
DEACON CLARK G., SR.
Age 72, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Avalon Hospice. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012 at House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church, 1851 W. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Rev. Leonard Palmer, officiating, Pastor Kenneth L. Stewart, Host Pastor. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Deacon Sharp now lies in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 1-8 p.m. today. Deacon Clark G. Sharp (Goodney) was born June 26, 1939 in Ludlow, Mississippi. He worked as a Supervisor at Flint Assembly Truck and Bus and Beecher Community Schools.

Still think of Clark from time to time. We used to talk quite a bit in the bus garage at Beecher.

Just today learned that Clark passed away. Would have felt it an honor to attend his funeral. I worked with him at Beecher in the maintenance dept. as a Bus mechanic. I also believed in Jesus and called him a BROTHER in Christ. Will miss him. Was so excited to call him when Obama was elected and tell him "Hey Clark, we got a brother in the White House.
I know I will see you Clark, again some day!!!!

To the Sharp Family:
I am so sorry to read about the passing away of Mr. Sharp. Upon, reading the Guest Book, it shows that he was a god fearing man as well as a positive role model in his family and the community. He will surely be missed. The Holy Scriptures says that the dead will rise again. I know this thought will bring comfort to your family.

My father was a God fearing man. If he could he would have tried to save the whole Beecher Community. He was a great man and father. He will be greatly missed. Walk the steets of gold. And sing your favorite songs with the Angles in Heaven. I LoveU Daddy. R.I.P.

He was a "GrandPa & Dad" to us all. He not only taught how to live as a Christian; he truly lived a Christian life. May knowing that he is rewarded in Glory comfort you all, Sis. Sharp and family. Keeping you in continual prayer.
