Claud L. Hollingsworth, Jr., 51, of Swansea, Ill., born April 20, 1956, in St. Louis, Mo., died on Friday, April 20, 2007.
Claud worked for U.S. Steel in Granite City, Ill., for 18 years and previously worked for Monsanto in Sauget, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby, nee Moore, Hollingsworth.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn D., nee Patterson, Hollingsworth; three children, Kela Hollingsworth, Kandis Hollingsworth and Kyle Hollingsworth, all of Swansea, Ill.; two grandchildren, Krystal Robinson and Kaden Robinson; his father and step-mother, Claud and Pearline Hollingsworth, Sr. of Alorton, Ill.; eight brothers and sisters, Rita Hoffman of East St. Louis, Ill., John McCondichie of Washington Park, Ill., Charlene (Maurice) Dotson of East St. Louis, Ill., Ledarrel (Hattie) Hollingsworth of Cahokia, Ill., Michele (Lisa) Hollingsworth of Alorton, Ill., Valdez (Alona) Hollingsworth of St. Louis, Mo., Spring Collins of Alorton, Ill., and Sherry Sumrall of Alorton, Ill.; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation: Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2007, at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2007, at Kassly Mortuary Chapel, Fairview Heights, Ill., with Brother James Gause officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
