My dear, sweet friend Dee, I just want you to know how many wonderful memories I have of us being teenagers in Dalton and all the fun we had at your house and at mine. Everytime I go down Dug Gap Rd, I glance over at your house and think of you and your family. Your daddy was such a precious person. I know he meant the world to you. I hope you know that I grieve with you. Nobody can ever replace our daddies. Please also give my love to your mother and to Steve. I miss you!!!

May God bless the family in this time of sorrow. Coach Crider's concern for his players helped shape my life. He gave 2 hrs. of his valuable time just before he moved to Florida to meet with Vernon Floyd and myself at Powell's Restaurant. He also visited my aged father at his home. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Dot, Deanne and Steve
I just want you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with your family now. I just can't imagine what my life would have been without the influence all of your family had on my life growing up. I know Claude held a very special place in my families heart as you all do. Take care and know that Claude is right now visiting with Daddy and haveing a good ole time. My love to you all.

Coach Crider was one of my favorite people. I remembered him from my days as a student at DHS, and later when we would see other around town. I always enjoyed talking basketball with him. He will be missed by all who knew him.
My thoughts are with his family.

Coach Crider was a very giving man. Many young Dalton boys could have never played indoor basketball if Coach had not given up his weekends to open the old gym and play babysitter to 100's of young men in the 1950's and 60's. God will surely bless Coach Crider.
