Claude Gauthier

GAUTHIER, Claude Suddenly at home on April 3rd, 2006 at the age of 89. Beloved husband by 1st marriage of the late Pauline Poirier and by 2nd marriage of the late Leona Plamondon. Son of the late Procule Gauthier and the late Rose de Lima Lacoste. Dear father of Jean-C. (Elizabeth Papinutti), Suzanne, Marie-Paule (late Philippe Gendron), Michele (Henri-Claude Chretien), Jocelyne (Michel Quesnel), Lucie (Larry Gauthier). He will be sadly missed by his dear friend Rita Deschamps, his adopted daughter Nicole Labonte and his step-daughter Lianne Roach (Tim Gauvin). Cherished grandfather of Chantal (Martin Champoux), Stephane Chretien (Claudine Viau), Nathalie Chretien (Pascal Labelle), Luc Gendron (Josee), Michel Gendron (Alison Derry), Christian Gendron (Julie Joubarne), Sebastien Quesnel, Danika Dallaire, Bailey (Antoine Boivin), Patrick and Brodie Gauthier and step-grandfather of Karen and Patrick Roach. Great-grandfather of Benjamin, Maxime, Xavier, Guillaume, Emilie, Simon, Maud, Jakob, Catherine, Alexandre, Alexie and Dominic. Brother of Helene (Alex McKinnon) and brother-in-law of Gerard and Albert Poirier. He was predeceased by his brothers Yvon (Marie-Ange), Jean Marc (late Yvette), Roger (late Annette), Rolland (late Dorina), Craig (Rita) and by his sister Antoinette Charron (late Aldelpha). He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, his friends at Chateau Vanier and Le Club 50 le Baron. The family also wishes to sincerely thank Dr. Andre Gauthier and his wife Lorraine. Visitation will be held at the Racine Robert and Gauthier Funeral Home (241-3680), 180 Montreal Road, Ottawa on Monday April 10th, from 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday April 11th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at 11am. Saturday April 22nd at the Marie-Mediatrice Church, 344 Cyr Ave., Ottawa. Donations to the Civic Hospital Heart Institute would be appreciated by the family.
