Priscilla Johnson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 22, 2015.
1939 - 2015 Priscilla Teco Jane Lee Johnson, 75, of Bevil Oaks, was born in Beaumont, on July 25, 1939, to Laura Kathryn Winton Lee and Wilson Kee Lee, Sr. She passed away on July 17, 2015, after a difficult fight with cancer. Teco went to Silsbee High and French High School and was still in contact with many of her friends from both schools. She also attended Lamar University. During school, she was very active in school clubs and was in the original Buffalo Belles at French HS. She was a class officer and cheerleader in Silsbee and was voted Most Beautiful her junior year at French HS. When she retired, after twenty-eight years, from the United States Department of Agriculture, in 2002, she thoroughly enjoyed reading as her favorite pastime. She also loved having her family and friends at her house for meals and parties. She always felt that her family and friends were the most wonderful part of her life. Teco is survived by her very supportive and loving husband of forty-two years, Frederick A. Johnson; daughters, Dr. Kimber Knight and her husband, David, of Beaumont; Shelli Brannon and her husband, Bow, of Sugar Land; and Sandra Doland and her husband, Michael, of Beaumont; she was Nana to grandchildren, Megan Knight Brewer and her husband, Ryan, of Beaumont; Bow Brannon III, of Lakeway; Hilary Brannon, of Sugar Land; Jason Knight, originally from Beaumont, now in the United States Navy stationed in San Diego, California; Danielle Doland, of Galveston; Erin Doland, of Beaumont; Graham Brannon and his fiancee, Leah Cormier, of Sugar Land; and the newest member of the family, her only great-granddaughter, Riley Rae Brannon; brothers, John Malcolm Lee and his wife, Myrtle, of Vidor and Wilson Kee Lee, Jr. and his wife, Renee, of Beaumont, and their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; long time close friends, Anita Smith and Jeanette Patrick; her wonderfully, comforting dog, Izzi Jane Lee Johnson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Laura and Wilson Lee; grandparents, May and Joe Winton; brother, George Lee; stepdaughter, Janna Johnson; and nephew, John Bret Lee. A gathering of Mrs. Johnson's family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 24, 2015, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her committal was held at Broussard's Crematorium, Beaumont. It was her wish that her family and friends not mourn for her, but raise a glass, make a toast, and celebrate life. In lieu of flowers, the family would encourage a gift to your local food bank or your favorite local animal rescue. Complete and updated information may be found at: broussards1889.com.
