Funeral services for Claudia Estelle Naugher, 91, will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory with the Rev. Garry Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6-8. Mrs. Naugher died Saturday, June 4, 2011, at Piedmont Health Care Center. Survivors include a son, Robert "Buddy" Naugher (Toni), of Northport; three grandchildren, Butch Naugher, Brian Naugher (Vicki) and Chad Naugher; three great-grandchildren, Kendall Naugher, Andrew Naugher and Abigail Naugher; one brother, Hugh McCord (Lois), of Piedmont; and one sister, Velma Harris, of Anniston. Pallbearers will be Butch Naugher, Brian Naugher, Kendall Naugher and Andrew Naugher. Mrs. Naugher was a Cherokee County native and had been a Piedmont resident since 1946. She retired from Piedmont Nursing Home and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Daniel Naugher Sr. and by a son, Jimmy Mack Naugher. Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions may be made to the Piedmont Health Care Center Activity Fund, 30 Roundtree Drive, Piedmont, AL 36272.

Always a sweet lady. We have missed her at our Eastern Star meetings. Sad to hear of her passing.
