Claudie Mae Johnson June 1, 1940 - January 26, 2009 PHENIX CITY, AL — Claudia Mae Johnson, 68, of Phenix City, AL died Monday January 26, 2009 at Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital in Phenix City, AL. Services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Phenix City, AL with the Rev. John Rigby officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens.Ê The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are John Estes, Comer Johnson, Shane Harrison, Ronald Henry, Jason Dunn and Gabe Irvin. Members of the Lee County Sheriff Department will serve as honorary pallbearers. Mrs. Johnson was born June 1, 1940 in Pike County, Alabama to the late William and Mary Shepherd Singleton.Ê She attended Philadelphia Baptist Church in Smiths Station and was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Henry Johnson of Phenix City, AL; her son, Tommy Johnson and wife Tracy of Columbus, GA and their son, Dane Charles Dunn-Johnson; sisters-in-law, Myrtle Singleton, Charlotte Morris and husband John, Noma Morris, Carolyn Henry and husband Jerry all of Phenix City, AL; brothers-in-law, Comer Johnson of Salem, AL, Carl Johnson and wife Gertrude of Columbus, GA and numerous nieces and nephews.
