Claudine Carol Cassidy

PRATT Cassidy, Claudine Carol, age 81, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at South Wind Hospice Home, Pratt. She was born April 4, 1932, in Johnson, Kan. the daughter of Murl and Lottie (Westeman) Gibbens. Claudine worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 30 years and retired in 1995. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. On Sept. 1, 1952, she married Leo "Gene" Cassidy at Wichita. He survives. Other survivors include sons, Marion Cassidy of Pratt, Galen & wife, Joanna Cassidy of Wichita; grandchildren, Phillip (Yvonna Wilke-Cassidy) Cassidy, Christopher (Heather) Cassidy, Erin Cassidy, Brady (Joshua) Barnard, Sarah (Porter) Janovsky; great-grandchildren, Addison Cassidy, Uriah Cassidy, Tanner Cox, Gary James Jr., Christopher James-Wilke; great-great-grandchildren, Phoenix James, Alarik Wilke; sisters, Vivian Hilgenfeld of Norman, Okla., LaVeta Bengston of Holton, Kan. She was preceded in death by a son, Garland "Hop" Cassidy; brothers, Marion, Clayton and Manford Gibbens; and sister, Sybil Wilson. Visitation 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday; funeral services 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, all at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt.
