Dear Carter, Max, Clay and Catherine,

Please accept my most sincere and heartfelt condolences. I will always remember Red for the fair-minded and kind gentleman that all of Augusta knew him to be. I'm sure that he has left you with a lifetime of wonderful memories. I'm sure these memories will sustain you in the days and years ahead as the memories of my parents have and continue to sustain me. I hope you will also feel comfort in the knowledge that your dad is with his heavenly Father now. And even though he can no longer be a part of your earthly lives, know that he will always be with you as your very special angel in heaven.

Clay & Carter:

I'll never forget the good times when I worked at Red & Jack Oil Co. It was my very 1st job out of college. Carter was my buddy. I always looked forward to her and "Myrtle" coming to work. I miss all of ya'll. Always remember when you get down, there are plenty of good memories of your Dad to cheer you up.

Let me hear from you sometime and I love you both.

Dearest Miss Ann, Clay and Braye

I am very thankful to have known and worked for Mr. Red. Not only was he a brillant businessman but he was a genuine, kind man with an optimistic attitude and wonderful sense of humor. I loved his stories and he always had so many. I'll miss his soft voice, that twinkle in his eye and that big beautiful smile that never seemed to dim.

I'll remember his love of history, Augusta, and the companies he launched and grew. I'll remember the love of his family that brimmed over in his storeies. I'll miss his little "Red notes" and the little "Red sketches" that he would draw when he was explaining how something worked.

I'm sure if he were here and you asked him what his finest accomplishment was, he'd Smile and say his "Boys" and the "Girls"....he lefted a legacy..his love.

My prayers are with all of you during the difficult days ahead.
