Dr. Clement Samuel Cope Lear went to be with his Lord on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 3:55 a.m. Survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Lear. A Memorial Service will be determined at a later time.

Hi Mrs Lear,
I was a member of Dr LEAR's Orthodontic study club at UBC for 2-3 years and fondly remember him from those years. I have since moved to the US and so did not hear this news until now.
He was nice enough to find time in his very busy schedule to write me an awesome referral letter when I most needed it; and for this I am forever indebted. A great and wonderful mentor , professor, and gentleman,that is how I will always remember him!

Dear Mrs Lear,
I was a dental student at UBC and also member of Dr Lear's Orthodontic Study club for 2-3 years. I have since moved to the US, and hence did not hear about Dr Lears passing until today.
He was an exceptionally nice professor and mentor at this Ortho club and a true Gentleman. He was nice enough to find time in his busy schedule to write me a great reference letter after my move when I needed it. I am really sad that he is not there with us anymore... but really lucky to have known him.

Dear Mrs. Lear,
Our family was so sad to hear that Dr. Lear passed away. Both of my sons saw him for many (!) years as their ortho in Burnaby. He was so professional, soft-spoken and wonderful at his job.
Today, both sons are dentists and so are their wives. They all shared some memories of Dr. Lear at UBC during their years of school. He had an impact on their lives and I wanted you to know that our family is one among many that was touched by a good man.
