God took you away
we miss you so much
but you just couldn't stay

A kiss for a loved one
a pat on the head
we are willing to follow
wherever you led.

A smile, a joke
the twinkle in your eye
The love that you gave us
will never die.

God hold you now
in his beloved arms
You are safe from the hurts
and the tears and the harms.

We are part of you
your memory will not die
so we'll just say so long
and never good bye.........

As I sit in heaven
and Watch you everyday
I try to let you know with signs
I never went away
I hear you when you're laughing
and Watch you as you sleep
I even place my arms around you
to calm you as you weep
I see you wish the days away
Begging to have me home
So I try to send you signs
So you know you are not alone
Don't feel guilty that you have
Life that was denied to me
Heaven is truly beautiful
Just you wait and see
So live your life , laugh again
Enjoy yourself, be free
Then I know with every breath you take
You'll be taking one for me......

Love forever.....

A limb has fallen from the family tree 7 years ago , I keep hearing a voice that says,"Grieve not for me"...Remembering the best times, the laughter, the song. the good life while I was with you......Love and never forgotten Ronelda

You never said I'm leaving,
You never said good bye,
You were gone before I knew it
And only God knew why.
A million times, I needed you,
A million times, I cried.
If love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died.
In life, I love you dearly,
In death, I love you still.
In my heart, you hold a place,
That no one could ever fill.
It broke my heart to lose you,
But, you didn't go alone,
For part of me went with you,
The day God took you home.

Love forever, Ronelda

Already 5 years have passed since you took that last trip. You are maybe far from me, but you are always in my thought and heart. I always have the presence of you and of your joy of life. I am wishing you the best of rest and peace. Don't forget all the love that I feel for you. Like you, that love will live eternally.
Love you always, even if you are not here with me on this earth...

Time speeds on,three years have passed,
Since death its gloom, its shadow, cast
Within our home, where all seemed bright
And took from us a shining light,
We missed that light, and ever will,
His vacant place there is none to fill.
Down here, we mourn, but not in vain,
For up in Heaven we will meet again.
Love Ronelda....

Remembrance is a golden chain
Death tries to break,but all in vain;
To have, to love, and then to part is the greatest sorrow of one's heart.
The years may wipe out many things,
But this they wipe out never,
The memory of those happy days
When we were all together

Love Ronelda, miss you

There is someone who misses you sadly,
Find the time hard since you went,
There is someone who thimks of you daily,
But tries hard to be brave and content.

I really miss my dad, yesterday was an especially hard day but life goes on. I wish you would have met your great granddaughter Hailey who was born on August 30th, 2008 (Labour week-end) the week-end that you and mama got married. Things do happen for reasons even if we do not know what they are. I think that she would have adored you and that you would have loved her dearly. I know that you are watching over us daily. Not one day goes by without me thinking of you. There are so many reminders of you. I love you dearly.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Dear Dada,

I know that you are here in spirit with us but I was not ready to say bye to you. On that last evening when I said good-bye to you I was sincere in telling you that I did not want you to suffer and that I wanted you to go with grandma, grandpa and uncle Albert. I know that you are in a really nice place now and that you are watching over us and that you are not suffering anymore. I think about you every day. You were always there for us when we needed help in anything. Your presence in our lives showed us that with hard work we could achieve anything. You thought us so much over the years. One thing that I did inherit from you was your character. I love you very much. Continue watching over us.

There is over a month that you left me,I miss you a lot. I am continuing the same thing we were doing together before, as I have promised you before your last breath. I went with 3 of my friend to see Irvin Blais, Yvon Collette and Rheal Leblanc acadian country show, last Saturday and they gave you a standing ovation and they sang your favourite song "Sur la route des baleines" I would have prefered to have been there with you as we have planned on the last show we seen of them last March. But I was in good company, and the hall was filled to capacity and like Irvin Blais said it was all because of you that so many people came to see his show , you were his guardian angel.
I am going to Moncton by train this week, I know it is going to be hard ,ny first trip alone, but I know you are going to be there with me in spirit. I am going to be o.k. as I have a lot of family member that are going to be waiting for me there and take good care of me, and drive me around like you use to do.
I will always love you,
Ronelda

Gabrielle Richard Miller

We were very saddened to hear of “Oncle Smoky’s” recent illness, and of his passing away. He was a very special person to our family, and especially to myself. I have many fond memories of spending time in Montreal during my childhood, and having visited with my “grown-up” family in recent years. “Smoky” was a wonderful storyteller, and a very funny man. Sitting next to him on the couch, and him in his chair, I remember watching boxing and wrestling with him, and having many discussions on a large number of topics. The time just flew by. He was very well informed on current events, and had an articulate opinion on many subjects. A few times, I’m sure he must have thought I was a little bit crazy (going to so many Expos games, moving into the basement while heading home from university), however I never suspected it if he did. I will always remember the warm greetings, firm handshakes, and friendly (and mischievous) demeanor. Although small in height, he was a giant of a man, and will be missed greatly. Our thoughts continue to be with Tante Ronelda, and with Joanne, Diane and Richard, and their families at this difficult time.

Can there ever be too much written about Clem? I think not. Augie is a little black pomeranian dog, just 12 lbs. covered in soft black fur. Clem and he had a very special relationship. Whenever Clem saw us coming down the street, he'd duck behind his truck or hide in the garage. Of course this was unbeknown to me so I would tug on Augie's leash, but he stubbornly refused to move. On cue, Clem would come from behind his truck, laughing heartily, and exclaiming, "You knew I was there, didn't you Augie?". Both dog and man met in a flurry of embrace. Clem liked to walk about the neighborhood observing, whereas I was getting on with walking the dog and paying little attention to what was going on around me. He had a particular little whistle: again Augie heard, while I did not,and the tussle for him to follow would begin. Turning, and looking up, there would be Clem, baseball cap jauntily on, hands in his pocket, walking out of nowhere, laughing at his little trick. Augie would squirm with delight and crawl up his leg for loving pats on the head, and conversation of being told what a nice little dog he was. I believe Augie brought joy to Clem and this is nice to think about. For months Clem was the favored one and he proceeded to ignore Ronelda totally. But eventually he opened his 'doggie' heart and as the two of them sat on their front entrance, he would waggle bodily up the steps and greet them both.
As we continue our walks down the street, we remember the good times and watch for the wind to spin Clem's own special spinning wheel that we had watched him build with empty bottles, and listened to his tale of how it was done. He was an avid story teller and as I look at his truck I remember his frustration with it when it needed repairs recently. His life held meaning and he shared that richness with one and all.

Clem brightened up Belleville Avenue with his friendliness, his laughter, and his shared opinions of the everything that was happening in the neighborhood. My walks with Augie are not the same. He is missed. To you Ronedla I extend my sincere sympathy and state my admiration for the strength you have shown throughout this trying time. May the Lord bless you and keep you strong.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
