Cleo Paul Brannon
September 14, 1934 - November 2, 2018
Cleo Paul Brannon, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother passed away November 2, 2018, at the age of 84 at home in Bakersfield, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents Viola and Rudolph Brannon, Lura, his wife of 36 years, brother Bill Brannon, sisters; Barbara Williamson, Charlotte Sisemore and Louise Barker.
Cleo was born in Hominy, Oklahoma on September 14, 1934. Moved to Bremerton, Washington at the age of 8 and then 5 years later to Buttonwillow, California. He graduated from Wasco High School and excelled in Track and Football. In 2016 Cleo was inducted into the Wasco Union High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Cleo went to work for Kern County Fire Department in 1967 and retired as an engineer after 23 years. One job wasn't enough, Cleo also picked cotton for 50 years.
He raised greyhounds, enjoyed going to Mexico to relax on the beach after picking season and spent many summer vacations house-boating on Lake Shasta.
Cleo is survived by his wife Chrystal, son, Mel (June) Brannon, daughter, Lori Brannon, step-sons; Jim (Diane) Harris, Wes (Paula) Harris, grandsons; Daniel (Katie) Donaho, Nicholas (Orianna) Brannon, granddaughters; Summer Brannon, Alysia Garrett, Anna (Zo) Molina, Nikki (Jesse) Kaltenberg, Jessica (Korbel) Harris, 12 great grandchildren, brother James Brannon, sisters; Mary Harris, Virginia Mathis and Margie (Mick) Blackwell and sister-in-law Cindi Brannon.
We love you and miss you, may you rest in peace.
Viewing will be from 3 to 7pm on Sunday, November 11th. A memorial service will be held at 10am, Monday, November 12th, 2018 at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Bakersfield, CA.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. My Mom and Dad were special friends of Cleo. Wilburn and Alcidena Watts. We have a lot of memories with the family. The Watts Girls, Guin, Melba and Jannie.
