Cliff was born to Edna and Charles Cumbers in Eyebrow, SK and passed away in Saskatoon with Elva, his wife of 46 years, by his side. Sincere thanks to the wonderful staff of the Saskatoon Convalescent Home who took such gentle care of him. Cliff is survived by his wife Elva, sons Jim (Diane) and Rick (Deanna), mother-in-law Clara Gardiner, sisters-in-law Roberta Cumbers, Ellen Veldhoen, Isabelle (John) Balzer, Linda (Myles) Gardiner, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Cliff was predeceased by his parents, his daughter Margo in 1959, his brother Grant, father-in- law R.C. Cooper, step father-in-law Thomas Gardiner, sister-in-law Eileen (Alan) McIntosh, and brothers-in-law Scott Newall and Veryl Veldhoen. In lieu of flowers the family welcomes donations to the Saskatoon Convalescent Home Foundation (101-31st Street East, Saskatoon, S7L 0P6) or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 30 at Westwood Funeral Chapel, 1402-20th Street West at 2:00 pm. A luncheon reception will also be held there following the service.
