Clifford Turner Jr, 82, of Wesley Chapel, FL, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022, in Zephyrhills. He was born January 9, 1940, in Odum, GA, to Clifford Monroe & Beulah Simmons Turner and moved to Wesley Chapel two years ago from the Spring Hill area. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and worked for Prudential Investments for twenty-two years and for Pinellas County Schools for fifteen years. Before moving to Spring Hill, he had been an active Holy Cross Catholic Church member in St. Petersburg. He was a St. Theresa Catholic Church member in Spring Hill for many years and a dedicated volunteer with the St. Vincent De Paul Society. In recent years, he and his wife Debi attended St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in San Antonio, FL.
Clifford is survived by his wife of 36 years: Deborah Ann Turner; 5 children: Michael Andrew Turner (Angie), Deborah Jean Leone (Robert), Clifford Randolph Turner, William Richard Dobson (Marianela), Stephanie Danielle Sorensen (Lynn); 7 grandchildren: Jodi, Justin, Joshua, John, Jayden, Ashton, Aiden; 4 great-grandchildren: Emma, Brooks, Reese, Olivia; and his niece Sonia Cassaw and his nephew James Altman and Wayne Altman. He was preceded in death by two brothers: David Dalton Turner and Jesse Willis Altman.
A Celebration of His Life will occur at 7 pm Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Hodges Family Funeral Home on 11441 US 301 Dade City, FL 33525. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm at the funeral home. Graveside Services will be held at 10 am Friday, June 17, 2022, at Saint Anthony Cemetery on 12234 Palm St, San Antonio, FL 33576.
