I'll never forget what a kind and loving uncle he was. I always felt "at home" when I went to Aunt Grace and Uncle Clif's house. I arrived at the hospital a little too late and they mistakingly told me he had gone home. When they corrected the "error", I thought "No, he HAS gone home. To a better home than he has ever had--Heaven." I love you all and know how much you will miss this loving husband and father. I can think of one word that describes him best--"Gentleman". He was truly one in a million. Love, Cindy and family

Mr. Gips was a kind and courteous gentleman and a true representative of the "small business man" who built the United States middle class, the backbone of most communities. His appreciation for his customers, efforts to serve them with his best possible work, and respect for each one contributed much to the small business community of Cuero over the years. May Cuero and other communities continue to value these characteristics of family-owned businesses and continue the traditions so well woven into the fabric of life in Texas and in the nation by Mr. Gips and others of his generation.
May God give peace and comfort to his wife and family in this time of their loss.
