Climmie L. "Sport" Brundidge

Climmie L. Brundidge, known affectionately as Sport, passed away on November 6, 2023, at the age of 84 a resident of Columbus, Georgia. He was born on December 18, 1938 to the late Johnny and Lucinda Brundidge, in Russell County. Climmie was a beloved member of his community, known for his love of the outdoors and his dedication to his family. He always had a big smile on his face and enjoyed connecting with his loved ones over the phone.

In his professional life, Climmie held various positions that allowed him to contribute to his community. He worked as a bus driver for Russell County school district and also served in the Russell County Phenix City Public Works department. Additionally, he was involved with the Phenix City Boys Club and Miller Precast, leaving a lasting impact on those he interacted with.

Climmie was a faithful member of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where he found solace and strength in his faith. He attended faithfully until his health declined.

* Private invitation only Memorial Service hosted by and for the Grandchildren will be held November 18, 2023 6:00 p.m. EST at Hilton Garden to celebrate the life of their Grandfather Climmie L. Brundidge.

* The Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. EST (12 noon CST), Monday, November 20, 2023 at Andrews Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, Hurtsboro, AL with Rev. Renae Adams, pastor, officiating, Rev. Pryce Battle, eulogist. Burial to follow in church cemetery. Visitation is Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 1-4 p.m. EST. The family deeply appreciates the support and care provided by the staff at Taylor Funeral Home during this difficult time.

Climmie was preceded in death by his Loving Wife Elvira Brundidge, Daughter Barbara Jean Brundidge, and Grandson Alan Brundidge. He is survived by his cherished memories and the legacy he leaves behind two Son's Clemmie Brundidge Jr. (Betty) of Kuwait & Wendell Brundidge (Maribeth) of Georgia to name a few his beloved Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren: James N. Brundidge of (Germany)
Nkeschi Lawson, Latasha Brundidge, Shirlee, Ashley, Avery, Aaron, Xavier, Veronica, Tyrone Calhoun, Rasheeda Lamb, Shareeda Lamb, Tara Jones, Isaiah Lamb , Michael, Mikala Lamb, Jeremiah, Journee', Aalliyah Williams, Iesha Brundidge, Amir', Amaud, Parker, Ayden, Johnathan, J'cion, Jase, Ian, Zyi'on, Anassa, Aubriegh, Patrick jr., Sean, Ryan, Joshua, Landon, Bryson, Braylin, Wordell, Wendell jr. Sonya Dawson, Calvin Dawson, Latrice Rice and a host of many more Grandchildren.
