Clyde Parnell Obituary

Clyde Clinton Parnell, 72, of Florence, passed away Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at ECM Hospital. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was the retired owner of Scotts Marine.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, at Greenview Funeral Home, with the funeral service following at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park. Military honors will be accorded at graveside.

Mr. Parnell was preceded in death by his parents, Sir Clinton and Elsie Parnell, four brothers and one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Edith Parnell; son, Robert Parnell (Shelia); daughters, Lisa Keith (Randy), Michelle Berryman (Stan), Shannon Bevis (Lee); grandsons, Chris Boatwright, Justin Boatwright, Joshua Keith, Greg Hayes, Jason Hayes (Megan); granddaughter, Whitney Keith; and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Lee Bevis, Harold Scott, Chris Boatwright, Justin Boatwright, Joshua Keith and Jimmy Larimore.

Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Keith and Stan Berryman.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to the nurses and doctors of CCU and ICU at ECM Hospital.
