Mr.Raper, I feel like I know you although we never met. Your son, Luke, would tell me some great stories about you and I wish we could have met. Rest in Peace and know you've raised an exceptionally great son,Luke. I know Luke and your other children will watch over your wife. God Bless you and your family

Thanks for the memories. I will cherish and hold them dear to my heart. So many memories and wished I spent more time with you to create more. But for now, our time has run out. You will be missed! I Love you Grandpa, and again, thanks for the memories.

Thank you grandpa for always keeping a smile on my face. When you would tell jokes at supper you would always distract me from eating, because I was to busy laughing especially when grandma would tell you to stop febbing. I especially enjoyed our evenings when you would play the guitar and sing at the same time. You were so talented. You will live with me in my heart and I will sit Indian style in front of your recliner and listen and ask curious questions regarding how you make beautiful music out of a piece of wood (your guitar)when it comes time.Grandpa I love you more than words can explain.I hear this and I hear that regarding how you were, but all I can do is speak for me and me only. You were a great grandpa to me and when I think of you a effortless smile will always appear on my face. Rest in peace grandpa and practice a new song for me to hear when the universe brings us together again.

You will be missed Grandpa. I wish we all went fishing more but I will never forget the night I stayed over on the houseboat with you and my Dad and we caught like 30 fish, even fishing at 3 AM. Even better was the next morning eating fresh catfish and cornbread. Wish you could have shared that with your great-grandkids. You will be missed. Love, Teanah

Dad: If I had one wish, it would be to go fishing with you one more time. That is where we spent our quality time. Just one Dad and no time with 13 children to feed and working 12 or more hours a day. Without saying the words I love you it was shown in the way you provided for us the best way you knew how. Always a beautiful garden as long as I can remember. You set out to feed the world for no one around us ever went hungry. You even brought people home with you who had no place to go. If people could share the big heart you had for all. Here is to good times and all the sad ones washed away and never to be spoken of. Love you Dad,
Linda

Although I barely knew you at all, I do know that you were a deeply loved man. Your life had meaning and your passing touched many. Rest peacefully knowing that you meant a great deal to your loved ones!

Dad: If I had one wish, it would be to go fishing with you one more time. That is where I could talk to you and we could actually get to know each other; me being #7 daughter made it very hard to get your attention. I remember you putting tootsie pops under my pillow when I was ill.I don't recall you ever telling me you loved me, but you showed me in the ways you knew by taking care of me the best way you knew how. Love you Dad.

Dad, you always worked hard and how you raised so many kids I could never understand. I asked you that one time when it was hard enough for me to raise three and you said it takes hard work and the work is never done. We were raised from the vegetables in the garden and never went hungry and we worked hard along with you. Our quilts were hand made and we never got cold. You were a good provider and I learned that from you. All of your grandkids and great grandkids and great great grandkids are going to miss you. I will miss your sparkling blue eyes especially when you were about to tell a big whopper about the fish that got away. I have missed your being able to play the guitar for us since you haven't been able to do that for a long time. Tell Ruby and Linda hi for me and I will see you again. Mom will be joining you soon. It is hard on all of us but you made us strong so we will be okay. Love you dad. Goodby

You worked hard all your life. You were a very strong person and always made me laugh.I love you.I will always have you in my heart.Thank you for holding my hand and letting me know you were still holding on the day you let go, it made me very happy especially when you put your eyebrows down :).you were still staying strong but decided what was best.I will see you again, don't know if it will be soon but when I do it will put a smile on my face to see you again.I love you grandpa!May you rest in soul, or wander where you'd like maybe go fishing, catch some catifsh or some other huge fish. Whichever journey you choose to take, don't let our sorrows make you sad, we will one day be with you. Please say hi to Ruby for me.Love you.I know when I started first walking, you had put hot sauce in my mouth for fun but I turned out liking it and it you didnt know why so you said something like I'll be damn. well thank you because when i was about 7-8 you had told me throw some hot sauce on my biscuits and I've been addicted to it ever since, and i love it thanks to you.thank you
