Clyde Wilson Webb, Sr., 83, of Morganton, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020, due to complications of a stroke. Born in Burke County, May 5, 1937, he was the son of the late Donald Murray Webb and Mary Louise Wilson Webb. Clyde was a member of Silver Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed a good joke, and sold knives at the flea market. Clyde retired from Triangle Contractors.
Mr. Webb is survived by his son, Clyde W. "Mickey" Webb, Jr. (Kim) of Morganton; daughters, Kathy W. (Dean) Burton and Karen W. (Dallas) Patton, all of Morganton; grandchildren, Will (Amanda) Webb, Andy (Angie) Webb, Sara (Jonathan) Morgan, Leah Patton, Joshua Patton, Lydia Patton, Amanda Ray, Christy (Scott) Farris, and Tammy (James) Connell; great-grandchildren, Luke Webb, James Webb, Bennett Webb, Ethan Webb, Abigail Ray, Hannah Ray, Tamra Burton, Chris Burton, Logan Connell, Jessica (Jonathan) Trantham, and Michael Farris; great-great-grandchildren, Camden Trantham, Cadence Burton, and Jaylan Burton; sisters-in-law, Ruby Webb and Liisa Kelly; brothers-in-law, Buddy (Daleleen) Fisher, Steve (Judy) Fisher, and Paul Fisher; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Fisher Webb; brother, Donald Webb; sister, Norma Kelly; and brother-in-law, Jim Kelly.
Clyde will be available for viewing from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 28, at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 29, at Praise Assembly of God with Pastors Kevin Crawford and Boyd Biggerstaff officiating. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the James D. Kelly Memorial Scholarship, c/o Lumbee River Christian College, formerly NABC, P.O. Box 248, Shannon, NC 28386.

Clyde and I were good friends during the 1950´s and often went to the same church. I remember him being a fine Christian gentleman!! The family has my sympathy! God bless each of you!
