As I witnessed the scores of people attending the services for Cody, it occurred to me that they were all there not because he had passed, but because of how he had lived. He touched so many lives and it showed. Our prayers are with your family at this difficult time.

The Bales family are in our prayers. My son Dustin Smith was a good friend of cody. I will never forget his name at the football games "CODY BALES", What a great player and I know he was good in everything he done. I pray god will confort the bales family soon.

We are deeply saddened for your loss. May the peace of God be with you that surpasses all understanding. My two older step sons, Jeffrey & Mark Stockstill, knew Cody and went to school with him. I have known Cody most of my life. My mother Julie Seals was his teacher in the fourth grade and again in Jr.high.Cody and I used to play everyday after school.He was a good friend of mine and I will miss him very much.

I can't begin to imagine what it is like to experience the loss of a child. However, my parents have and I experienced the loss of my best friend, as well as little sister. She was the same age as Cody and it was sudden and unexpected. My deepest condolences go out to the Bales' family and all Cody's family and friends. This is a terrible time for all. He was a wonderful young man. Live with the memories and not the sorrow. We can only accept that we will see them again; so keep the memories alive in your heart and mind. Love remains.
