Cody Jason Cann, beloved son of Thomas and Leslie Cann, and best friend and brother of Luke, passed away Friday with his loving parents by his side.
Cody was a 2011 graduate of Hazleton Area High School and attended Bloomsburg University. He just returned from California where he was living his dream! Cody was a master cultivator of happiness.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Helen and Michael Lesko; Antoinette and Constantine Chandler and Mary and Emil Cesario.
Cody leaves behind his parents, Tom and Leslie; and his younger, brother Luke, whom he adored. He is also survived by his grandmothers, Sylvia Cann and Donna Chandler; and his grandfather, Carmen Chandler and his wife, Ginger, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be greatly missed by his numerous friends all over the country.
Cody was a gentle, loving guy and continued this even after death by his wish of being an organ donor.

Leslie and Tom,
I am so sorry for your lose and for not being able to attend Cody's memorial. The memory that I have of Cody is an old one, but what I do remember, is that he was a kind and happy soul. Cody always had a smile on his face of happiness and joy, this could only have been due to the Love he was shown/given by both of you. Renee and I will pray that your family will get through this, of all difficult times and remember all the joyous times that Cody has brought to both of you and to this world. ❤
Oh Lord Jesus, come to my rescue. Surround me with your love as with a shield. I am broken because of the loss of our only beloved child. Jesus, I know that you understand my pain because you went through the same and even wept when Lazarus died. You know my pain and anguish, and that is why I have come to ask you to set me free from this pain. Remind me of your unconditional love that I may go through the pain and come out a victor. Whatever the enemy intended for my downfall, Lord, use it to lift me to places I never imagined. In Jesus’ name, I believe and pray. Amen.

Cody was like the son I never had, my daughters best friend and one of the kindest, nicest people you would ever meet. I had the privilege to know and to watch Cody grow from the time he was little boy to the wonderful young man he had become. I will miss him with all my heart and soul, Cody will leave a void in this world that cannot ever be replaced. Only 28 short years, but touched so many people, his legacy will live on forever though everyone's kind words, memories, his family and his countless friends. God bless you kiddo, uncle Jim will miss you now and forever.
I shared the last photo I had with you just two short weeks ago. Rest easy my little brother.
