Colette Uhl Obituary

Remembering Colette Uhl (December 18, 1934 - February 14, 2025)

Colette Uhl, born in the picturesque Lorraine, France, on December 18, 1934, traded in the beauty of her homeland for the American dream in 1969. Her life was a vibrant tapestry of joy, adventure, and love-qualities that will be dearly missed.

Known as the queen of her garden and the magician of her kitchen, Colette's green thumb and culinary skills could make anyone's day bloom and taste like a slice of heaven. She found pure happiness in the great outdoors and delighted in taking her grandkids-and any other kids she could gather-on long, memory-filled walks that often ended at a beloved McDonald's.

Colette also had a knack for luck at the slot machines and a penchant for strawberry margaritas at "On The Border" in her later years. Her playful spirit and infectious laughter created a haven for everyone around her.

Survived by her husband, George Uhl, sons Franck Uhl and Joseph Masson, daughters Gabrielle Mills and Victoria Johnson, grandsons Nicolas Mills, Zac Johnson, Sasha Masson, Justin Masson, and Hayden Uhl, granddaughters Natalie Masson, Samantha Revell, and Tierney Uhl, great-grandson Corbin Revell, Eli Kollman, Trevor Masson, Luke Masson, and her great granddaughters Robin Revell, Tori Masson, Tessa Masson, McKenna Masson her sisters Marie Antoinette Mulhaney, Ghislaine Maksvytis and Marie Jeanne Morgan, and Colette's family carries her legacy of love and joy. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph DeWonck and Henriette Bourton, sisters Paulette Masson, Yolande Dewonck, Marie Therese Ferreira, and brother Jacques Dewonck and her grandson Victor Mills, she is now reunited with them in peaceful eternity.

Join us as we celebrate Colette's extraordinary life on March 16 at 1 p.m. at the Revolving Kitchen in Fairview, Texas. Her memory lives on in every blossom, every meal, every walk, and every moment of serendipity we experience.

Rest in peace, Colette. May your garden forever flourish, and your stories be told for generations to come.
