Colin Moore Hyde, Jr., age 81 of Petal, died on Saturday, January 12, 2008 in Hattiesburg.
Mr. Hyde was a native of Laurel and had been a resident of Pass Christian for 17 years, where he was an avid golfer at Pass Christian Isles. He served in the U.S. Air Force for over 20 years and served during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Hyde was preceded in death by his parents, Colin Moore, Sr. & Bessie Thompson Hyde; his wife, Shirley Jones Hyde and two sisters.
He is survived by his loving sister, Bobbie French of Petal and many other loving family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2008 a 11:00 a.m. at the National Cemetery in Biloxi, with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
