Colleen BAUDAIS Obituary

Published by Saskatoon StarPhoenix on Feb. 2, 2017.
Colleen Baudais
(née Wilson)
Passed away unexpectedly on January 29, 2017 in Saskatoon, SK at the age of 64. Colleen will be loved and missed by her surviving: husband, Raymond Baudais; sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren: Tanner, Tracy (née Stucky) and Sarah, Tod, Nathalie (née Denis) and Liam, Brent, Amanda (née Piesinger), Bailey and Addison; brother, Dane Wilson, his wife Irene and their children, Mark and Alanna; and brother-in-law, Denis, his wife Joan and their children, Michael and Brian and their families. She was predeceased by her parents, Raymond Wilson (Winnipeg) and Dawn Gregg (Winnipeg). Colleen was born on March 23, 1952 in Winnipeg, MB. She welcomed her first son, Tanner, in 1971. She married Raymond in 1975. The couple welcomed Tod in 1977 and Brent in 1978. After moving to Domremy, SK, to return to a farming lifestyle, Colleen began working at the Minatinas ski area and later at the St. Louis rehabilitation centre. Her children remember her as an awesome mother who was open and kind. She always had a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on and an ear for listening. Colleen was a very talented and creative person. She would generously make gifts for friends and family including birthday cakes, doll clothes, and furniture for her grandchildren. She loved camping in the summer and skiing in the winter. She enjoyed fishing, swimming and cooking with her friends and family. She was a vivacious woman who loved life. Services will be held in the spring when the weather is warm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. The family would like to thank the staff at Royal University Hospital for their care and dedication. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Marc Blondeau of Kushneryk Funeral Service, Wakaw, SK, 306-233-4403.

To Colleen's family and friends - I am so sorry for your loss. Colleen was friendly and warm and very kind. She talked about her children, her grandchildren and her husband with great love and admiration and pride. I know she loved traveling with/visiting her friends. My heart goes out to all of you.

It is with profound sadness that we offer our sympathy to Ray and family on your sudden loss of Colleen. As a cousin, I remember the wonderful times sister Diane and I shared at Ray and Dawn Wilson's home growing up with Colleen and Dane. We had such fun as we played and ate the wonderful treats Dawn made... the talent which Colleen obviously inherited from her mom. We will remember Colleen always.
