As a former grade 6 student of Ms Reeder, I will remember her as the fun loving yet excellent teacher. To this day she has been the only teacher that has ever truthfully made learning fun for 12 year olds. She will be remembered by all of her grade 6's as the extrodinary women she truly was.

I too had the great privilege of attending Ms.Reeder's grade 6 class, she was the best teacher a student could ask for, she brought humour and positive attitudes to the class every single day. With Ms.Reeder as a teacher school was an exciting activity to look forward to. She was a remarkable individual that will forever hold a special place in my heart. She will be missed by many.

Dear Josie, Barrie, Darren and Grant,
I send my heartfelt condolences over the loss of your sweet Colleen. I cannot imagine the sorrow and shock you must be feeling. Words cannot express my feelings. I will pray that God would continue to wrap his arms around you in the days to come and that he would give you a peace that passes all understanding. I send my love to you.

I was also apart of her grade 6 class and I will always remember her as cheerful and full of life. She will always be one of my favourite teachers and I have nothing but good memories of her. My condolences to her family and everyone that knew her, it is indeed a great loss.

I want to wish the Trott and Reeder family my most heartfelt sympathies at this difficult time. I had the honor of teaching with Colleen at Patricia Heights at the beginning of her career as a teacher. Being new to the profession in our early 20's we had a common passion and youthful energy for teaching. I sit here with my wife and 2 children thinking about life and how precious it really is. I want to say something to give you hope and love when I know you are grieving deeply. Know that your precious Colleen touched many people in her life. I am witness to the good she did. I will move forward in my life with Colleen reminding me of how to live simply, and compassionately. She is an angel, and will live forever in the hearts of those who were lucky to have known her.

I was so surprised to hear of her passing. I was blessed with the opportunity to be in the last sixth grade class she ever taught at GPN. She always encouraged me to do things that I was afraid of, and made my year a great one. I’ll be forever grateful of the time I had to get to know her, and she’ll always be remembered as one of my favourite teachers. Love to the family, keep holding on.

I am shocked and sad to hear of her passing. I too had the pleasure of being in the last grade 6 class at GPN that she taught. Ms. Reeder and I shared the same birthday, which made my grade 6 year extra special. She was one of my favourite teachers, and inspired me to write. She was so caring and kind and I have many fond memories of her classes. My prayers are with your family.

I had Ms. Reeder when I was in grade 6 and she was by far one of my favourite teachers at GPN. The entire class had a great relationship with her because she was really caring, funny and nice. I will be praying for her family.

Danielle and I were so very shocked and upset to hear of Colleen's passing. We feel so very blessed to have known Colleen. That she opened her home to us as travelers and for her family to welcome us into their home to share their Easter celebrations meant a great deal to us when we were so far from our own home. We have many fond memories of our time with Colleen and will miss her greatly. We remember especially nights out in Canmore and Edmonton and skiing at Sunshine with Colleen & Renee. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Barrie, Josie, Aunt Eve and the whole family. I often think of the time Colleen and I spent together as kids. I treasured every moment. I pray that you would find peace in God during this difficult time.

I am very grateful that I had the opportunity to teach with Colleen at GPN. She was a terrific teacher and colleague. Her enthusiasm, humour and joy touched everyone. My sympathies to Colleen's family and friends. I wish you peace, love, comfort and strength as you grieve.

I had the honour of working with Colleen as a teacher and the joy of being her friend. We use to joke that she was the little sister I always wanted. We ran our first half-marathon together in Kelowna. 2 hours, 29 minutes and 52 seconds and we didn't stop talking the entire time. We crossed the finish line holding hands. How I wish I could hold her hand again. I will hold these and many other memories of Colleen close to my heart. I hope everyone else who loved her will do the same. I had the honour of being the principal at two schools where Colleen taught in Edmonton. She was an extremely gifted and engaging teacher, an inquirying mind, esteemed colleague and friend.
