Colton J Garlington 1998- 2022 Colton J Garlington, resident of Rawlins Wyoming passed away on June 26th, 2022, in Carbon County at the age of 24 years. Colton was born April 13th, 1998, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Colton graduated in 2017 from Rawlins High School. Colton worked at the Peppermill as an amazing and entertaining bartender. Colton had a love for life, he saw beauty in everything as well as a positive outlook on life. He always saw the positive in everything. If people could see the world through his eyes, they would never be sad, they would always smile. He would make you laugh and had a contagious smile that lit up the room and a hug that made anyone he met or knew feel warm and welcome. He was so kind and had such a beautiful soul that was so huge for this world.

In his short years of life, he did more than most average young men. Colton loved to travel, enjoyed going to Seminoe lake during the Fourth of July with his friends which became a yearly tradition, he loved hiking and hunting with his friends and his dad, loved watching movies (new and old). He was a big fan of Marvel comics, DC comics. Spider-man and Thor were his favorites. Ask him a question about the movie and he would know the answer. Colton took a shot at college and in his first semester at Sheridan College he tried out for a play for the first time. Although he was studying General Science, he considered how he could continue studying Theatre. A quote he had during that time was, this process "has been super-fun...getting to know new friends has really made this an enjoyable experience, unlike anything I've done before".

Colton was known for his amazing dance moves. Loved all types of music and loved to entertain and dance no matter where he was and no matter who was around. Colton would watch YouTube videos to learn some dance moves and taught himself until he perfected them. In 2011 at a family reunion, he was 13 years old, the only person on the dance floor doing the *Dougie* and had all eyes on him doing his thing. Another time during a Baseball tournament in Powell, Wy at a Pizza Hut he was again doing his *Dougie* moves to entertain the people in the restaurant.

He obviously had his own sense of style. Loved to be different, but always the same. Colton loved to be on the golf course with his mom and his *best buds*. Colton had been named as an honorary member of the Rawlins Elks #609 in Rawlins. He participated and loved to help with the angel tree as well as deliver presents to all the children for Christmas.

Colton's love of sports began at a young age. He played baseball, football, basketball, and track. Played little league baseball, and after 25 years Colton's Babe Ruth Baseball team went to the playoffs. He also was part of the Generals Baseball team. Colton played varsity football in high school scoring touchdowns as well as throwing them. He was a wide receiver, safety on defense, cornerback on defense, and Quarterback. He was ranked in the top ten in the positions he played. Colton was chosen to play in the 2017 Shrine Bowl in Wyoming. Colton was on a traveling basketball team and finished his high school years playing JV and varsity basketball. Colton was an exceptional runner. He ran track did the long jump, triple jump and ran relays. During his years in track, he was one of the fastest kids in Wyoming which led him to be chosen to run track in Australia in 2015 at the Down Under Track and Field, where he took 1st place in the 100-meter dash. Colton was an incredible athlete, very talented and could play or challenge himself to any sport.

There are so many words to describe Colton, but he only needs four, "ONE OF A KIND".

Colton left his glowing kind spirit, genuine heart, love, and laughter with so many people who were blessed to be a part of his life. He was living his best life to the fullest.
