As a first year teacher, it was a privelege to start my career at C.V. under Mr. Courson. He was kind and made our school and faculty a "family" where we had a lot of fun and were inspired to make our school the best in the district. I am sure his real family has many wonderful memories, too.

Dear Courson family.
I had the honor of working for Mr. Courson during his years as principal at Cerro Villa Jr. High school in Orange . I was there the year he opened the school and made the faculty feel like "family" He was a great inspiration to us all .
He will be missed.

With great sadness, my sympathies to the Courson family. I heard the news of Corky Courson's passing and was both shocked and sadden. I did not know Corky personally but I do know he was Pamela Courson Morrison's father and he was a wonderful father and husband.
My thoughts and prayers to his wife Penny and his daughter Judy.

Corky was Courtly. A true gentleman, with a twinkle in his eye and a smile for all. Don't find many like him anymore, sad to say!

Corky's beautiful, warm, caring heart and sense of humor will be forever remembered by those of us whose lives he's touched. His legacy at Cal will live on through Ryan and Tashaan and his kindness and love will live on through his family, Emily, James and Judith. Corky's strong character and commitment is refected in his beloved wife, Penny, who has been by his side for 69 years. May he rest in peace and may we all truly appreciate the many gifts that he's left us.

I worked with Corky in the years after he left Orange County. I had the good fortune to become his friend. He was truly a fine man with a big heart and inquiring mind. He will be missed and remembered.

Corky and I were among seven jr. high school principals in Orange. He led the way for us and provided an example that we admired. He was a leader who served with sincerity and integrity.

Corky was a wonderful role model to so many young students.
We knew him as a magnificent teacher and coach when we attended O.U.H.S. in the early 1950's.
Arla even baby sat their two young daughters from time to time.

Corkey was an asset to the faculty at Orange High School. I believe he was also a USN Reserve Commander and helicopter pilot after WW2.
May he rest in eternal peace.
