So many memories of Mr. and Mrs. Owen from their agreeing to my sleepovers with Judy and Jeanie during Middle School (or DCJHS as it was called back then). You lived on Avondale and we lived on Castlewood Place. If it was a Saturday night, I looked forward to attending Sunday Services at Livermore Baptist Church with your special family. My condolences to all of you.

TO THE WIFE, MRS LAVELL OWEN, HIS SON JAMES, DAUGHTERS JUDY, AND JEANIE. I AM SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. I'M GERALD GLOVER, AND I HAVE MISSED SEEING HIM, I THINK IT HAS BEEN ALMOST THREE YEARS SINCE I HAVE SEE COL, (WE ALWAYS PRONOUNCED AS "CAL". I MOVED TO OWENSBORO, FROM HANCOCK COUNTY ABOUT 2O YEARS AGO, WITH MY WIFE. I, ALONG WITH MANY OTHERS CALLED "CAL" A FRIEND. I HAVE ASKED OTHERS AT HILLCREST GOLF CLUB, WHEN I STOPPED TO SEE IF ANYONE HAD SEEN HIM. WE HAD A FOURSOME THAT ENJOYED PLAYING TOGETHER. WE ALL THOUGHT HE WAS A VERY GOOD GOLFER. I ENJOYED PLAYING WITH "CAL", LARRY ASHBY, DENNY HUFF, AND I. UNTIL LARRY ASHBY PASSED AWAY, THEN DENNY HUFF, AND NOW COL OWEN, IT SEEMED LIKE EVERY YEAR ONE OF US UNTIL I AM THE ONLY ONE OF OUR "FOURSOME" LEFT. I THINK IT APRIL OR MAY 2017. HE WILL BE MISSED GREATLY, BECAUSE HE HAS MANY FRIENDS THAT HAVE SHARED GOLFING AND CONVERSATIONS WITH HIM.

A GOOD FRIEND, GERALD GLOVER
