Connie Bailey Obituary
Ventura, CA
Connie Bailey was born on March 16, 1938 in Denmark and died in Ventura on July 8, 2018.
At 17 years old she immigrated with her mother to the United States. She briefly lived on the East coast and settled on the West coast in Oxnard, 1 ? blocks from the beach, in the late 1960's.
Connie embraced everything American, soon became a citizen and easily made friends.
She loved Jazz Music, Dancing, Comedy, Theatre, Cooking and Reality Shows. "Dancing with the Stars" was her favorite.
She was a medical secretary, property manager at Surfside II and beloved friend to many of the Condo owners and tenants.
She was also a partner in a Travel Agency and eventually became the owner, sending friends and clients to all corners of the world. Her trips took her from the Caribbean to China.
Connie never retired, her last clients departed for a River Cruise in Europe the day after Connie gave in to the struggles of heart and kidney failure.
She will be missed by her friends at the Elks Lodge, Gold Coast Travellarians, several Jazz Clubs and all who knew her.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents.
A special Thank You to the nurses and caregivers at Victoria Care Center, London Station for their concern, care and extra touches of comfort.
Connie's ashes will be scattered at sea.
A Celebration of Life will take place at: The Elks Lodge #1430, 2126 Knoll Dr, Ventura, CA 93003, on August 5, 1pm-4pm.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Ventura County Animal Regulation or your favorite charity in Connie's name: Ventura County Animal Regulation, 600 Aviation Drive, Camarillo, CA 93010, (805) 388-4341.

Connie was my mom's best friend, and a dear friend of our entire family. When Mom died in January, Connie spoke at her funeral, even though she was in pain at that time. We loved her, and we will miss her. Connie, be assured that Precious will be well taken care of.
